Genesis Group Homes, Inc. provides superior, professional care tailored to support individuals with increasing their independence. We are committed to providing quality care to meet each individual's unique needs. We recognize the dignity of the individuals we serve, and always respect their individual rights. We strive to help the individuals enjoy as much self-sufficiency as possible, in the least restrictive and functional environment, and with the best combination of developmental support and personalized attention. At Genesis Group Homes, Inc., we promote social relationships, community inclusion, and active participation in our homes. We always strive to maintain a proper balance between safety and opportunities for every individual in our care.

We operate multiple Community Residential Setting (CRS's) facilities as well as several Individualized Housing Supports in the northwest metro area of Minneapolis. We also serve as a crisis home provider through our affiliation with the Metro Crisis Coordination Program. These homes provide a variety of living arrangements designed to meet the variety of individual needs. We offer supervision tailored to each individual's needs as well as flexible behavioral support through care plans that are continuously modified to meet the changing needs of the individual.

The homes are located in Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, Crow Wing, and Sherburne Counties. Genesis Group Homes, Inc. serves the Twin Cities Metro and Central MN areas, including the communities of Anoka, Brooklyn Park, Champlin, Maple Grove, Becker, Zimmerman, Mounds View, East Bethel, Brainerd, and Corcoran.

We stress home-cooked meals as much as possible. Meals are generally prepped by our overnight staff and then prepared by the individuals living in the home with or without the assistance of the caregiver, depending on ability. Many of the individuals residing in the home are actively working on cooking goals to increase their independence in this area. The men and women in each home are asked to be an active part of the meal planning process.

If able, we stress the importance of participating in going to the store to shop for the items needed. Spotting deals, using coupons, and price comparing are skills that we teach and encourage the individuals to learn and use. This time also serves as the quality time between caregivers and individuals of the home to connect.

Genesis Group Homes uses My25 Select, this is a web-based/mobile-optimized platform largely focused on building a weekly calendar of dinner meals. The core features of My25 center on menu planning, grocery shopping, and recipe prep steps-personalized for individual or household food preferences and dietary needs. My25 Select users are visually and numerically guided-and motivated- regarding their meal choices. My25 includes mouth-watering photo images and videos set to music and also has a Leftovers Rescue Planner. An entire section within the My25 Select platform is dedicated to education and engagement in 81 languages and multi-media format. My25 Select grocery lists can be used at any store, but will auto populate the home's Walmart online cart for curbside pick-up. This technology partnership with Walmart helps save time and keeps purchases in healthy and budget-sensitive lanes.
